Western IPM Center Request for Applications: Addressing Western IPM Issues, Information Networks, and Work Groups
The Western IPM Center has issued requests for applications for 2005 for the following:
Addressing Western IPM Issues (Due August 4, 2005)
SUMMARY
The Western Integrated Pest Management Center announces the availability of funds and requests proposals for projects that address important issues in IPM and support the goals of the Western Integrated Pest Management Center. The Center goals are:
- Serve as a focal point for interactive communication,
- Involve stakeholders in identifying needs and priorities for IPM in serving agriculture, food and natural resource systems,
- Facilitate the development of knowledge, information, technology, communication, and education to enhance IPM for the benefit of regional stakeholders and the environment,
- Promote interdisciplinary and multi-organizational collaborations,
- Facilitate relationships with multiple government agencies,
- Promote collaboration to minimize duplication of effort,
- Organize responses to emerging regional issues, and
- Manage resources to facilitate regional IPM programs and activities.

Information Networks (Due July 20, 2005)
