CSREES Seeks Applications for Integrated Research, Education, and Extension
Competitive Grants Program: Integrated Pest Management, Deadline February
12, 2007
December 11, 2006
The Cooperative State, Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES)
is pleased to announce the release of the FY 2007 Request for Applications
(RFA) for the Integrated Research, Education, and Extension Competitive
Grants Program – Integrated Pest Management, which includes the
Crops at Risk Program (CAR) and Risk Avoidance and Mitigation Program
(RAMP).
Changes in FY 2007:
In fiscal year 2007 there are some major changes regarding submission
of proposals to CSREES. First, all applications submitted to
CSREES must use the new SF-424 R&R (Research and Related) forms. Second,
a number of the agency’s programs will be requiring electronic
submission of proposals through Grants.gov, including CAR and RAMP. (See
the table at the following web page for a listing of the authorized
submission formats for CSREES programs: http://www.csrees.usda.gov/funding/fy07changes.) Please
allow yourself extra time to make sure your institution is registered
with Grants.gov, allow sufficient time to familiarize yourself with
the electronic submission process and the new forms, and allow ample
time for submission. Note: all attachments in an application
must be in portable document format (PDF). We encourage you
to review “A Guide for Preparation and Submission of CSREES Applications
via Grants.gov” prior to attempting to submit a proposal electronically
for the first time; you can access the guide at Grants.gov under the
funding opportunity number or you can access a sample guide at: http://www.csrees.usda.gov/funding/grant_forms/electronic_app_guide.pdf.
