Subject: [pest-managers] W-IPM RFA Release and New Requirements for Proposal Submission

The Cooperative State, Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) is pleased to announce the release of the FY 2007 Request for Applications (RFA) for the Western Integrated Pest Management Competitive Grants Program (W-IPM).

Changes in FY 2007:
In fiscal year 2007 there will be some major changes regarding submission of proposals to CSREES.  First, all applications submitted to CSREES must use new SF-424 R&R (Research and Related) forms.  Second, a number of the agency’s programs will be requiring electronic submission of proposals through Grants.gov, including the Regional Integrated Pest Management Competitive Grants Program. (See the table at the following web page for a listing of the authorized submission formats for CSREES programs: http://www.csrees.usda.gov/funding/fy07changes.)  Please allow yourself extra time to make sure your institution is registered with Grants.gov, and then time to familiarize yourself with the electronic submission process and the new forms.  We encourage you to review “A Guide for Preparation and Submission of CSREES Applications via Grants.gov” prior to attempting to submit a proposal electronically for the first time; you can access the Guide at:  http://www.csrees.usda.gov/funding/grant_forms/electronic_app_guide.pdf

Deadline:
Completed Application: December 11, 2006 to Grants.gov
