Funding Opportunity for the Western IPM CenterCSREES 2008 Request for Applications for Critical Issues: Emerging and New Plant and Animal Pests and Diseases (Deadline November 7, 2007)From: Kimble-Day, Kathy [mailto:KDAY@CSREES.USDA.GOV] The Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) is pleased to announce the release of the FY 2008 Request for Applications (RFA) for the Critical Issues: Emerging and New Plant and Animal Pests and Diseases (Critical Issues). The program is designed to provide one-time seed funding to help initiate work requiring immediate attention until other longer-term resources can be secured to address the issue. CSREES intends to solicit proposals several times during FY 2008 to address specific new or emerging issues. For this particular solicitation, CSREES is requesting proposals that address specific aspects of the following issues:
