Federal Register Notices on Methyl Bromide CUEs, Cumulative Risk Assessment, MethidathionThe EPA issued a Federal Register Notice (5/10/02) announcing the availability of the Methyl Bromide Critical Use Exemption application. Critical Use Exemption (CUE) would provide users of methyl bromide the opportunity to maintain uses, past the 2005 phaseout, that do not have technical and economical viable alternative. The CUE applicants are required to provide technical and economic information to support their use from the phaseout of methyl bromide.Various versions of the CUE application can be found on EPA's Web site. Register: May 15, 2002 (Volume 67, Number 94) ACTION: Notice SUMMARY: This notice announces the availability of the Interim Registration Eligibility Decision (interim RED) document for the organophosphate pesticide (OP), methidathion. This interim decision was developed as part of the OP pilot public participation process that the EPA and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) are now using for involving the public in the reassessment of pesticide tolerances under the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA) and the reregistration of individual OPs under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). DATES: The interim RED document for methidathion is currently available in the OP Public Regulatory Docket under docket control number OPP- 2002-0064.
