California Coalition for Food and Farming Workshop on 'Collaborating on a Food and Farm Bill' June 28, 2005 in SacramentoA workshop targeting California's current Farm Bill, its implications for California, and why the 2007 Farm Bill is critical to the future of California agriculture, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2005 in the Clarion Hotel, Sacramento. The workshop is geared for farmers, farming organizations, environmental advocates, community organizers, elected officials, and agency representatives and staff. Speakers will include A.G. Kawamura, secretary for the California Department of Food and Agriculture, who will share his vision for how California agriculture can feed hungry people, steward the land and other natural resources, and remain economically viable locally, nationally and around the world.
