Typical Use Rates for 2,4-D on Pasture and Rangeland in New Mexico

Rick and Harold, we use a wide range of rates of 2,4-D in our rangeland programs. I looked at our herbicide recommendation list for weeds in NM and found the following:

RATE (lbs/A)
# recommendations
0-1.0
14
1.1 - 1.5
10
1.6 - 2.0
17
2.0 - 3.0
3
3.0
2

As you can see we use some high rates for our woody perennials in range situations. I would expect lower rates would be used in pasture situations.

Hope this helps
